Situated in the tranquil suburbs, my studio boasts a sound floor of just below -60dB RMS, thoroughly tested and approved by a professional sound engineer. Nestled in the basement, this haven was ingeniously converted from a walk-in closet in the guest bedroom, providing an intimate yet spacious setting. The booth measures 4 feet in depth, 7 feet in height, and 4-6 feet in width, offering ample space for creativity to flourish. Crafted with precision, the walls and ceiling feature layers of premium sound-absorbing materials, including 3 1/4 inches of SONOpan panels, drywall, and 2-inch thick acoustic foam. Even the floor has been treated with equal care, comprising 3 1/4 inches of SONOpan, two 1-inch foam underlayments, and a plush 1/4-inch carpet for the final touch of comfort. My custom-made door, constructed by yours truly, from flakeboard and adorned with SONOpan panels, ensures seamless entry and exit, while vertical handles offer effortless accessibility. Welcome to a sanctuary where every element is diligently designed to elevate your audio experience to new heights. Below is a sample available for download.
